Our Services

Occupational Therapy Services

  • Occupational Therapy (OT) in mental health goes beyond just managing symptoms — it’s about helping individuals live well, even with mental health challenges.

    OTs work with clients to:

    • Develop coping strategies

    • Build daily routines

    • Re-engage in activities that bring purpose

    • Support emotional regulation and resilience

Occupational therapy helps widen the window for hope, meaning, and connection. If you're ready to rebuild your life around what matters to you, OT can help. OT supports the whole person — body, mind, roles, and routines — to promote recovery and resilience.

  • OT offers functional, trauma-informed strategies to manage both mental health and substance use:

    • Establishing healthy routines

    • Nervous system regulation (e.g., sensory tools, mindfulness)

    • Identifying triggers and developing coping plans

    • Life skill development (budgeting, scheduling, cooking)

    • Re-engaging in meaningful occupations and roles

OT goes beyond symptom management. We work with each client to reconnect them to meaningful roles and activities—whether that’s work, parenting, education, or simply enjoying hobbies again.

  • We offer supportive, individualised grief and trauma counselling focused on compassionate therapy to help you heal, grow, and rediscover hope and purpose.

Our mental health occupational therapists take a body-based, practical approach to trauma recovery, helping clients regulate their nervous systems and re-engage with daily life. This includes tailored sensory regulation strategies, routine building to restore safety and control, enhancing interoception and body awareness, modifying environments to reduce overwhelm, and fostering co-regulation through safe, trusting therapeutic relationships.

  • A functional capacity assessment evaluates an individual's ability to carry out various tasks related to daily living, work, or specific activities. This comprehensive evaluation helps identify their strengths, limitations, and overall functional capabilities, providing valuable insights for personalised care and support.

  • A Home and Living Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by an occupational therapist to ensure your home environment supports your safety, independence, and overall well-being. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a disability, or planning for aging in place, our therapists assess your current living situation and daily routines to identify potential barriers and recommend practical modifications. From adaptive equipment to home layout changes, we tailor our suggestions to meet your unique needs and help you live confidently and comfortably in your own space.

  • Assistive Technology can be equipment, aids or devices that can make your life easier, safer, or support you to achieve greater independence. Some equipment or items require an assessment to determine their suitability in line with your goals, needs and situation.

  • We are proud to be an NDIS-registered provider, offering a range of therapeutic services to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care tailored to meet your unique needs, helping you live a more independent and fulfilling life.

  • We're proud to work alongside DVA clients — helping veterans maintain independence, wellbeing, and connection in everyday life.

Whether it's adjusting to life after service, managing mental health challenges, or adapting to changes with age or injury, our occupational therapists support veterans to:

    • Regain confidence in daily routines

    • Manage anxiety, depression, or PTSD

    • Improve sleep, energy, and emotional wellbeing

    • Reconnect with meaningful roles, hobbies, and relationships

    • Navigate life transitions with dignity and support

    • Modify environments to enhance safety and independence at home

  • Art therapy is a non-formal therapeutic approach that uses creative processes such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. It can help individuals explore and express emotions, reduce stress, and gain deeper insights into their thoughts and feelings. Led by a trained art therapist, this form of therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space for self-expression, emotional healing, personal growth, and improved mental well-being.

  • Led by the art therapist, the session typically begins with a brief discussion to understand your goals and current emotional state. Then, you'll be invited to engage in a creative process—such as drawing, painting, or sculpting—designed to help you express feelings or gain insights into your thoughts and experiences.

There are no artistic skills required, as the focus is on the process of creation rather than the final product. Throughout the session, your art therapist will guide you, offering support and encouragement, while also allowing space for self-expression and reflection.

Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the artwork and any emotions or insights that arose during the process.

  • Art therapy can benefit anyone, regardless of age or artistic ability, who is looking to explore and express their emotions in a supportive environment. It is particularly helpful for individuals experiencing:

    • Stress, anxiety, or depression

    • Trauma or grief

    • Chronic illness or pain

    • Difficult life transitions or adjustments

    • Self-esteem or identity issues

    • Emotional or behavioral challenges

Art therapy is also beneficial for those who may find it difficult to express themselves verbally, offering a non-judgmental space to explore complex emotions and promote healing. It’s a versatile tool for personal growth, emotional well-being, and mental health recovery.
